Your profile
What would your days look like?
At Avance, trainees are integral to our teams, working closely with lawyers across a wide range of assignments. Trainees gain comprehensive insights into a wide range of industries with a focus on corporate transactions, dispute resolution, large projects and various regulatory matters.
Traineeships begin in the beginning of the year, spring and autumn. The duration of the traineeship varies depending on the start date and usually ranges between five and eight months.
As a trainee, you’ll be another extraordinary member of the team from day one, gaining hands-on experience with close support and collaboration. Trainees contribute much like junior associates, including drafting documents, conducting research and legal analysis, and assisting with due diligence processes. You may also support in general office tasks. We strive to provide our trainees with a traineeship that takes into consideration their own circumstances and preferences.
Your tutor, other trainees, and everyone at Avance is here to support you during your traineeship. You can find out more about us at Paragraaffi.
Who are we looking for?
We welcome applications from second year to final stage law students. We appreciate some work experience from other law firms or a similar work environment.
To succeed in this role, you should have fluency in Finnish and English – Swedish and other language skills are considered an asset.
We look for individuals who share our values and want to be part of a collaborative team. A proactive mindset, strong work ethic, and solution-oriented approach are qualities that help trainees succeed in our fast-paced environment.
How to apply?
Please send your application and CV (in English) and relevant certificates (transcript of studies, matriculation examination certificate and high school diploma) through the Apply button by 27 August 2026. Please also indicate your preferred traineeship period (e.g., spring, summer, or fall 2027), if you have such preference, in your application.
